India Maharaja Chess Set
As with all of our chess sets, this is a complete 32 Piece set.
We don't show all of the pieces in the picture because then
it gets too crowded and you can not see the magnificent detail.
This set INCLUDES a board as shown. 
and an extreme closeup of the major pieces
to help you see the esquisite artistry and the delicate marble veining 
Keep in mind that, since no two stones are exactly alike, the veining will vary from piece to piece
This set includes a matched chess board and storage box 
All of the pieces fit into a custom formed foam storage tray inside the chess board. 
Hand carved in India by highly trained artisans using marbelized stone
this set comes with 2 3/4" tall Kings ranging down to 1 3/8" tall pawns.
The storage box measures 12" x 12" x 1 3/4" with 1 3/8" squares for a playing surface of 10 7/8" x 10 7/8".
We don't know.
The manufacturer doesn't name the wood.
The box was made in India using, most likely, indigenous woods,
the names of which we probably wouldn't recognize even if they told us.
But we have always worked on the basis that if you like what it looks like
what does it matter what it's called.
If you insist on a name, however,
we can tell you that it comes under the general Latin heading of
Antiquus Mortuus Arboretus
This exquisite set is brand new, has never been used and comes in its own custom fitted box
