This is an antique porcelain childs divided deep dish or bowl, with nursery rhymes on the inside. In the upper left section, it says, 'When the pie was opened the birds began to sing. Was not that a dainty dish to set before a king', with a picture of a pie in front of a king with birds all around. In the upper right section, it says, 'Who pulled her out Little Johnny Stout', with a picture of some kids winding up the rope to a well, pulling out a bucket with a dog in it. In the bottom half, it says, 'Dickory Dickory Dock The mouse ran up the clock', with  a picture of 2 people looking at a clock with a mouse running up the chain. The dish is lined with gold. On the back, it says B207 Germany, and 'G.W. Co. in a triangle, the writing is in light orange print. It's in wonderful condition for its age. There are some spots where the graphics are worn, e.i., the 'n' in 'opened' (when the pie was opened) has worn away, and the 'a' in 'was' (that a dainty dish), slight wear on the roof on the well. There are no chips or cracks. It is a heavy dish, measures 8 inches across and 1 3/4 inches deep. Buyer to pay shipping by priority mail. Thanx for looking!
