All-American
Fiction
The complete
run including issues combined with Argosy
Many famous collectible
authors were represented here including Cornell Woolrich, H. Bedford-Jones, Max
Brand, Richard Sale, Theodore Roscoe and others. The final issue contained part
one of Beat To Quarters by C. S.
Forester. At the end of part one there is a large blurb advertising the fact
that succeeding chapters will appear weekly beginning with the September 24
issue of argosy. In order to entice readers to segue to Argosy this chapter was
reprinted in the September 17, 1938 issue also and continued into the combo
issues until the six part story was completed. A bit of unusual promotion I
would say. $1,495.00
