SUBJECT : newspaper Comic Strip character ARCHIE. Serving during WWII World War 2 , the character is depicted wearing his Army service uniform .

VINTAGE : made / distributed in 1944 .

DISTRIBUTION : as a PREMIUM prize / offering by the Pillsbury Food group.

MANUFACTURER : Multi-Products of Chicago , Il.

SIZE : 4-7/8 inches tall .

MATERIAL : Item appears to be " hand carved " wood, which is the intention. Actually , the material is referred to as " SYROCO " as developed by the MULTI PRODUCTS COMPANY of Chicago, IL.  This " wood carved " appearance was actually achieved via the " Injection Mold " process of a Glue / Resin / wood fiber / sawdust composite material. The finished figures were then hand painted. 

CONDITON : NICE paint. NO flaws. NO damage. EXCELLENT or Better Condition.
