Ogeechee Lime

Up for bid are seeds of the Ogeechee Lime tree.  This is a hardy tree from the southern US that is very underused in the landscape.  This species can grow in very wet areas, and is often found growing in swamps and river bottoms in it’s native environment, but they will also grow well in drier, normal garden conditions.  While not a Lime nor related to Citrus, the fruit of this tree are said to have a Lime-like taste.  These plants get wonderful fall foliage in shades of red to orange.  They are hardy to at least USDA zone 6, and possibly colder.  These plants would make excellent additions to your rare plant collection, or just make a unique statement in your yard.
