The Sheraton Hotel is a well known brand in Puerto Rico, not only known as one of the world's major luxury hotel and resort brands, but because it has always maintained a presence in Puerto Rico thru different Hotel buildings  - and casinos - since the early 1970s.

The casino at the Sheraton Old San Juan, known as EL CASINO CLUB BAHIA, named so for being right by the main harbor, opened its doors on 2004. It closed very recently, although the hotel remains open and is considered one of the most desirous locations to visit in Puerto Rico, both for its discotheque and unique restaurants and bars, all offering very chic ambience within colonial San Juan.  We were fortunate enough to get a couple of these chips before they were gone forever.

The El CASINO CLUB BAHIA closed permanently recently, so the casino chips offered here are of the last type made, possibly Matsui, which may or may have not circulated, except the 2004 Grand Opening chip, which is well circulated. These are all offered as a lot since they all $25, $100, and $500 are of same style, with the $1 being a bit different but definitely same manufacture and finish. Still, just at the opposite side of the harbor, the San Juan Sheraton Convention Center Hotel operates the METRO CASINO since around 2010, now having more than 400 slot machines, making it one of the largest casino locations in Puerto Rico

Be aware, for some reason this casino issued several styles of the $1 chip. With this auction you will receive the style shown in the photo.
