The New York Yankees visited Chicago for this Friday nite tilt at old Comiskey Park in front of a large crowd of 38,832 sad SouthSiders.


Bob Turley dominated the Sox as he went the distance for the Yanks in a 7-0 whitewash.   Bill Moose Skowron was the hitting star, smashing a home run and driving home four.  Mickey Mantle chipped in with a single and an RBI.


The Sox only scratched out five hits and Luis Aparicio had two of them as did Al Smith.
