Here we have a cleverly constructed and very large sterling pin in the form of a leaf by renowned American metalsmith Hilda Kraus. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in NYC and others. She was featured in a 1946 exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art called "Modern Handmade Jewelry." This piece is 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". It bears her signature stamp and Sterling. Has a working pin and locking clasp. In excellent condition with some light scratches as befits something that was worn and is of this age. Check pics as they are part of the description.
