Used since antiquity, this traditional Choji Oil is the go to choice for keeping blades corrosion free for lifetimes to come. This oil is perfect for anyone looking to maintain their Katana swords. Used the world over by collectors, practitioners, and also families who still pass their swords down through the generations.
 
If all goes well in life, the #1 enemy of your blade is moisture. Choji oil will penetrate any and all microscopic crevices (yes your blade has them) pushing moisture out and preventing any moisture from coming in.  Simply apply a thin coat to your blade with a soft cloth or rice paper after use, and you're done. While everyone has their own methods... most apply a coat after every use, and every 3-4 weeks of storage.
Wipe once more before use to remove any excess oil which may be present.

This is not modern industrialized machine oil, tool oil, or Tsubaki knife oil (Camellia Oil) you’ll find with most cleaning kits out there. Those oils will dry out your wood Saya over time, and they are not recommended for long term use.
