Ohio State University Song c 1941

"Across the Field"

"Fight that team across the field, Show them Ohio's here, Set the earth reverberating with a mighty cheer. Rah! Rah! Rah! Hit them hard and see how they fall; Never let that team get the ball, Hail Hail! the gang's all here, So let's beat (that Illini now / Indiana now). O-Ohio! O-Ohio! Wahoo! Wahoo! for Ohio!"  Fight that team across the field, Show them Ohio's here, Set the earth reverberating with a mighty cheer.  Rah! Rah! Rah! Hit them hard and see how they fall; Never let that team get the ball,  Hail! Hail! the gang's all here, So let's beat (that Northwestern now / that Wisconsin now)!"

Genuine vintage sheet music and lyrics to this beloved Ohio State University fight song!  Love the mention of four different rivals.

Taken directly from an old book published in 1941 of college alma mater, fraternity and fight songs, this is two beautiful, cream-colored pages lightly tinged with the golden burnish that comes only with the passing years.

Song appears on the front and back of two pages, both included.  If you wish to frame the entire song start to finish, you'll need two originals; if I don't have two listed and you want another, please contact me, I may have it.
