Carey Built-Up Roofs catalog (1944)

Out-of-print, hard-to-find 8 1/2" x 11" paper catalog, 16 pages from the Philip Carey Manufacturing Company, Cincinnati, Ohio. Catalog is dated 1944 and was taken from a publication dated 1944.

Asbestos ReferenceS:

Asbestos cement shingles and siding were offered for use on residential houses. Shingles were a mixture of selected Portland Cement and reinforcing asbestos fibres. Careystone shingles were promoted as fireproof, rotproof, weatherproof, wearproof and permanent.

Asbestos felts - used for underlayment or base sheets in roofing applications.

Fiberock roofing - a reinforced asbestos felt thoroughly impregnated with asphalt.

The catalog is in GOOD condition!!  The pages have some browning due to age.   It's still a usable booklet with plenty of life left in it!!
