Rare vintage Portmeirion cup and saucer from the Botanic Garden series created by Susan WIlliams-Ellis, original first issue backstamp to the cup dating it to 1972 (prior to the subsequent backstamp that has '1972' added). There is no backstamp to the saucer

The cup is 6.5 cm (2½ inches) diameter and 6.5 cm (2½ inches) deep

The saucer is 13.25 (5¼ inches) diameter

In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or marks. There is some crazing to the saucer
