6 Wood Block Prints Selected Ukiyo-E Adopted for Commemorative Stamp Issue


You are buying Wood Block Prints Selected Ukiyo-E Adopted for Commemorative Stamp Issue. Kyoto Hanga In, Tokyo published the portfolio and 6 prints c. mid 1960s. The portfolio is in good condition. There is wear at the head and foot of the spine, corners and along the edges. There are 6 beautiful 5 1/2” x 7 3/4” mounted Ukiyo-e prints hand-made using the “pure woodblock printing techniques” in fine condition. The prints are reduced in size from the original prints. The prints are:

  1. Utamoro Kitagawa’s work - Beautiful Woman Plying a Glass Flute

  2. Hokusai Katsushika’s work – Mt Fuji Viewed Through Ocean Waves

  3. Hiroshige Ando’s work

The prints were selected for Japanese commemorative stamps.
