This is an antique bronze metal bracelet which was worn and used as currency by African tribal people for trading transactions. This bronze currency bracelet was collected in Nigeria, Africa. This bronze primitive money currency specimen is in great overall antique tribally used condition with wear to the  both sides of the hook clasp and surface patina. This currency specimen has an outer circumference of 11.20 inches. Currency bracelets & anklets served as indications of wealth and were used to store finances, pay for dowries and buy or trade for livestock and goods. This is an amazing example and a perfect piece to add to any advanced African currency collection. The most common forms of traditional money in Africa were made of metal, either forged or cast.
