Most bikes come with 1.1 bar radiator caps as standard. A 1.1 bar radiator cap can withstand pressure up to 14.22 psi before the coolant pushes the valve open causing steam to come out of the overflow. By fitting a 1.6 bar radiator cap the radiator can withstand more pressure making it less likely that the coolant will boil and preventing your bike from over heating.
