1) Dated 1493 Incunabula !

Origin"Liber Chronicarum"(The Book of Chronicles)

first edition published in Nurenberg, 

edited in Latin by Hartmann Schedel in 1493.

Description: Highly decorative wood block

engraved plate including, recto/verso, six

profiles of the Zerubbabel Second Temple 

at Jerusalem. 

Mapmaker: Hartmann Schedel (1440-1514)

German physician, humanist, historian and

one of the first cartographers to use the 

printing press.

Woodblock cutter: Michael Wolgemut, the 

well-known teacher of Albrecht Durer.

Dimension: Large Paper approx: 31.8 X 45.4 cm. 

Condition: Very strong and dark impression 

on very strong paper. Wide margins. Paper slight 

browned/stained by time - most at the edges, 

otherwise Very Fine.


2) Dated 1497 Incunabula !

The Edition published  in Augusburg.

Edited in Latin by Hartmann Schedel in 1497.

Description: Highly decorative wood block

engraved plate including three profiles of the 

Zerubbabel Second Temple at Jerusalem 

and text on back. 

Mapmaker: Hartmann Schedel (1440-1514)

German physician, humanist, historian and

one of the first cartographers to use the 

printing press.

Woodblock cutter: Michael Wolgemut, the

highly likely that their apprentice, Albrecht Durer 

(1471-1528) collaborated on some of the illustrations.

Virgil Solis or Virgilius Solis (1514 – 1562), a member of a prolific 

family of artists, was a German draughtsman and Printmaker, 

who worked in his native city of Nurenberg

His prints were sold separately or from the illustrations 

in books (normally the woodcuts).

10) Undated circa 1750 

In Hebrew ! 3 Pages

Origin: "Tractate Middot" Book

(Hebrew: מִדּוֹת, lit. "Measurements")

is the tenth Tractate of Seder Kodashim

("Order of Holies") of the Mishnah

and of the Talmud.

This Tractate describes the dimensions

and the arrangement of the Temple Mount.

in Jerusalem, and the Second Temple

buildings and courtyards, various gates,

the altar of sacrifice and its surroundings,

and the places where the Priests and Levites

kept watch in the Temple.

Maimonides, in his introduction to this tractate,

notes that the purpose of this tractate was to

elucidate details for the rebuilding of the temple,

even though according to Jewish tradition,

the design of the Third Temple would be based

on the vision of the prophet Ezekiel (Ezek. 40-43)

and differ in some regards from that

of the Second Temple.

Temple Parts at Jerusalem, with 

Hebrew interpretation and titles.

Condition: Some tears. Paper slight browned/

stained by time, slight wrinkled. Some folds 

and some warm holes, with scotch tape.

Titles, Scale and Interpretation in English.

Engraved in 1865 under the direction of 

colonel Cameron at the Ordnance Survey 

Office, Southampton. Revised in 1876.

Dimension: 70 X 100 cm. 

Condition: Very Good.

Description: A Map detailing in Hebrew the 

Holy Temple in Jerusalem. Highly decorative,

 with Hebrew Titles, Scale and Interpretation.

A painting for measuring the mountain and the 

house, founded according to the elements of the 

Talmud, in the first and last annotations, 

everything is explained in the pamphlet 

"The Surveyor" - not attached.

The Map Printed in Jerusalem.

Dimension: approx. 55 X 65 cm. 

ConditionWear & tear in the original folds 

with old adhesive tape marks that replaced by 

new archival adhesive tape. Slight browned by 

time. Some tiny tears at the edge.

Description: A Map detailing in Hebrew the 

Holy Temple in Jerusalem. Highly decorative,

 with Hebrew Titles, Scale and Interpretation.

Page from the book. No text on back.

Dimension: 16.5 X 22 cm. 

Condition: The page fold. Slight browned/

stained by time. Tear ~ 0.5 cm. at the edge.

Otherwise fine.

Description: Highly decorative Large Litho

or engraving map: the top border decoration 

is part of an ornamental inscription from the 

South Wall of the Aqsa Mosque. The remainder 

is from the 16th. century tiles in the Dome 

of the Rock. some of the descriptions from the 

Wilson 1864-5 Survey at The Temple Mount.

With titles, scale and interpretation in English.

Also upper title in Arabic.

Printed on fine paper, with a strip of cloth 

attached at the edges.

 "The Temple" Hebrew Book

by Rabbi Raphael Avraham Shalem (1888 - 1986), 

was "Bezalel" of Boris Schatz Student.

Description: "12 drawings of the Temple Mount 

and the Temple in its parts, according to a description 

in the laws of the "House of Choice" by Maimonides 

with lights and references in Hebrew". 

30 large pages bound by original red hard cover. 

Published by the Author.  Printed on thick paper 

by Itach the printer, Mahane Yehuda, Jerusalem. 

In the author's introduction: "... I also had the 

privilege of locating various names and parts in 

the map of the temple, whose place is not known 

in the temple drawings that have been printed 

so far, as the spring will show".

Dimension:  34.5 X 25.5 cm. 

Dated: 1967 or תשכ"ז 1968 

Condition: Some pages very slight browned/

stained by time. The cover slight stained and 

detached from the pages. Otherwise Fine.
