You are bidding on Fishless Days by Sparse Grey Hackle (Alfred W. Miller), with illustrations by Charles De Feo. The Anglers’ Club of New York, New York published the book copyright 1954. This is a limited first edition. It is 1 of 591 copies. On the front right end paper, is a signed gift note to Doctor John Gerster who saved Alfred W. Miller (Sparse Grey Hackle) grandson. The interior is in fine condition. The pages are tight and clean. There are no tears or marks, except for the author’s gift note. The cover is in near fine condition. The slipcase is in very good condition. It shows uneven fading, and a stain on the right side. The book is 6 1/8” x 9 3/4” tall and 147 pages plus a 1 page colophon. The epilogue will warm the heart of teachers. The author thanked his 8th grade teacher Miss Hellie M. Hoyt, for her help with his compositions and her prediction that some day he would write a book.
