Victorian gold mourning locket set with two Rose cut diamonds, a ruby and black enamel decoration in 18ct gold;  the locket opens on a side hinge to reveal two glass fronted compartments for photographs.  The front is decorated with symbols, possibly Masonic.  Weight: 15.8gm.  It is fitted with a bale and two further rings from which to hang a chain.  Measurements: to the top of the first ring: 4cm x 3cm x 1cm  (1 5/8″ x 1 1/8″ x 3/8″)   Hallmarked with the Birmingham anchor and tested as 18ct gold.  It is in good condition with normal wear for an item of this age.  C.1880.
