We offer for your consideration this beautiful cast bronze horse sculpture.

This is a cast bronze replica of an original Chinese sculpt uncovered?discovered in 1969. The original sculpture was found during excavation operations at Leitai in Wuwei, and attributed to a Han tomb belonging to General Zhang of Zhangye.

These celestial horses were considered a symbol of status.
The flying heavenly Horse of Gansu is always depicted standing on the back of a bird.

This sculpture is beautiful recreation of the original sculptural form of the horse.
from hoof to hoof it is 17 1/2 inches wide. Setting on its stand it is approximately 16 inches tall. The sculpt, sans stand, weighs approximately 10 pounds.

The sculpture is painted in a green paint, but if stripped of paint, and left to develop its own natural patina, this would be an even more striking sculpt.
But that is only my opinion.

If you have a great love of horses, combined with an appreciation of ancient Chinese bronze sculptures this piece will be a very beautiful addition to your collection.
