Dobby der Hauself war ein sehr freundlicher, loyaler und gutmütiger Elf, der seinen ersten Auftritt im zweiten Teil der Harry Potter Reihe hatte. Dort befreite ihn sein "großer Held" Harry Potter von seinem Meister Lucius Malfoy und verhalf ihm somit zu seiner Freiheit. Er war immer sehr hilfsbereit und sprach, wie üblich für Hauselfen, von sich in der dritten Person. Dobby starb im siebten Teil für Harry und seine Freunde, um sie aus dem Gefängnis der Todesser zu befreien. Er war glücklich, als freier Hauself in der Gesellschaft seiner Freunde dahinzuscheiden. Um seine Freundschaft zu Dobby zu ehren, begrub Harry ihn in der Nähe von Shell Cottage. The coin was struck by the New Zealand Mint from a 1/4 ounce of 99.99% gold. The motive features a detailed representation of Dobby using his magic to apparate in the movie "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets™". The reverse shows the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Dobby the House Elf™ was a very friendly, loyal and good-natured elf who made his first appearance in the second installment of the Harry Potter Series. There, his "great hero" Harry Potter freed him from his master Lucius Malfoy, thus helping him to his freedom. He was always very helpful and, as usual for house elfs, spoke of himself in the third person. Dobby died for Harry and his friends in the seventh part to free them out of the Death Eater's prison. He was happy to pass away as a free elf in the company of his friends. To honor his friendship to the elf, Harry buried him near Shell Cottage, digging the grave without magic.
