Vulcan Launch Platform
Move to Pad
2021

Offering a cover serviced for United Launch Alliance Vulcan Launch platform move to Launch Pad 41 at Cape Canaveral AFS, Cancelled Cape Canaveral FL 29-January-2021.

For the very first time, the brand new and much improved VLP (Vulcan Launch Platform) traveled along 2.7 miles (4.3 km) of rail from the SPOC (Spaceflight Processing Operations Center) to the pad at Space Launch Complex-41. The 183 foot tall and 1.3 million pound mount was built over the last year and outfitted with all the data cables, fuel lines, and other connectors it will need to provide support to the Vulcan Centaur rocket during launch operations. The mount was rolled out last Friday and left the Spaceflight Processing Operations Center (SPOC) on Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and rolled to SLC-41 on rails similar to how the Atlas’ launch mount is moved.
