π Cthulhu replaces the Pope in our ghoulish rendition of the Major Arcana tarot card, The Hierophant. Towering above the sunken lost city of R'lyeh, Cthulhu is flanked by two mountainous buildings.
π Cthuhlu's cerebral coercive ability, his enormous size, and his cosmic origin symbolize his dominion over the subconscious, conscious, and superconscious realms. This is also represented by the three tiers of his crown. He blesses his worshipers with his right hand, with two-fingered claws directed at the city of R'yleh with the other two pointed towards the cosmos.
π₯ His deceased worshipers make their way towards the sunken city in order to become enlightened by the one they praise. They chant the words "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn". Directly translating to, "In his house at R'lyeh, dead Cthulhu waits dreaming," these words are written into a book located on a pedestal. This thought originated from Cthulhu's ability to manipulate the human mind (subconscious), and manifested itself through spoken dialect (conscious). The podium balances these two mediums in written text.
