Hong Wu Tong Bao is Cast in AD 1368 of Ming Dynasty (AD 1368 - 1644) under rule of first emperor Tai Zu.

But the workmanship of this coin is poor and the character WU  is written rather strange. It is possible of a Japanese imitation "Bita Sen" coin during 15 - 16th century.
