US 11th Airborne Assault Badge - Black

Description

This pattern was awarded only to the 11th Air Assualt Division during the 1960's before it was inactivated and merged with the 2nd Infantry Division, becoming the 1st Cavalry Division. It was awarded to troops having to have good knowledge of aircraft safety procedures and orientation, as well as having made three helicopter rappels from 60ft and three from 120ft. 

These badges are a reproduction showing a winged shield with a rifle and lightning bolt behind it. They measure approximately 4.5cm in length and have a black finish. The pins are applied with the clutch pin attachment points on the back.

A must for any US reenactors or military history collectors!
