Japanese Satsuma Vase with Floral Pattern and Peacock 15.8". The vase weighs 5 lb 14 oz and is 8.5" diameter at widest part of the body. Finely crackled glaze with over-glaze decoration of floral patterns and peacock with painted gilding. The color palate of light green to darker green is very unique for Satsuma pottery colors. Wonderful use of space and placement of the decor of the vase.
No chips or cracks. A couple of small spots under the mouth can be seen upon close inspection where the gilt is lost.
