hardback, oblong folio measuring 15" x 20 1/4", some faint spotting to the closed page edges else a very good tightly bound copy in a near fine pictorial dust wrapper, the text is clean and unmarked, 24 colour plates reproduced in sic-colour lithography from eighteenth and nineteenth century engravings, prints and paintings, and 96 pages with 196 duotone illustrations, 144 pages in total. Housed in original rubbed and scuffed slipcase which has allowed the dust wrapper to remain in pristine condition. Owing to size and weight, a request for additional postage will be made if this volume is ordered from outside the United Kingdom.
