All you need to do is insert an SD card featuring the navigation software and map data. No programming needed.

Before the purchase check the built  date your Mercedes Benz !!!

Look on your 17 digit VIN stamp on the drivers side door jamb
there will be a date printed on the upper corner (see foto).

The Star 2 navigation looks the same as the Star 1.

For Star 1 model, the gps card is different and is not compatible with Star 2.

For the star 1 model we have a gps card on another ebay auction. (click See other items)

Enter the menu of your navigation in the DEVICE INFORMATION tab. Check if you have NTG5 STAR 1 or STAR 2.

The Garmin® MAP PILOT can only be used in conjunction with Audio 20 CD Radio with touchpad (Code 522). In addition, your Mercedes needs to be equipped with Option Code 355.
