Castleton China produced the “Ma Lin” pattern from 1948-1972, certainly a testament to its popularity.  Orange, yellow and blue flowers with greenery are artfully placed against an ivory ground with gold banding.  The pattern continues to be a favorite among china collectors today.

This particular offering has 36 pieces in total and is composed of 12 footed cups, 12 saucers and 12 9” luncheon plates.

All pieces are in mint condition with no real evidence of use and with all gilding intact.  The pieces all have the Castleton China “lyre” mark, “Made in U.S.A.”, the pattern name, “Ma Lin” and the pattern artist, “Ching-Chih Yee”.  She was one of 15 artists commissioned by Castleton in 1942 to design china patterns.
