2012 British Virgin Isles Commemorative Coin in Display Case

British Virgin Isles 2012 one dollar crown sized coin struck to commemorate St Valentines Day. The reverse depicts Juno Februa, Goddess of love, marriage and fertility whose festival took place around the 14th of February. The obverse celebrates the Diamond Jubilee of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, 1952 to 2012, and shows both the modern portrait Queen Elizabeth II and the famous Mary Gillick portrait design used on the obverse of British coinage at the start of her reign. The coin was struck in cupro-nickel by the Pobjoy Mint and is 38.6mm in diameter.

The coin is housed within a display that is held in a slide open protection case, sized 64mm x 64mm. The display and case are in New/Mint condition and the coin is in BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) condition.

Our manufacturing process includes a precision laser cutting method to create the necessary holes in each display for the required coins to be inserted and held, safely recessed, in the correct position.

This is a fantastic coin that would make a great gift for a coin collector or keepsake on Valentines Day.

The coin can be removed from the protection case if so desired.
