 DESCRIPTION:

*Vintage Japanese GLASS FISHING FLOAT.. Rare "D G" Makers Mark (#67)*

This float is approximately 10" inches in circumference (see note below regarding the circumference measurement)*.  The float is made of hand blown glass.  It has a very good "D G" makers mark on its pontil (see photos).  This is a Japanese fishing float was actually used and has spent much of its life at sea. It has been picked out of hundreds of beachcombed and Japanese fishing floats to offer because of its unique qualities and characteristics. Its thick heavy glass contains impurities, inclusions and bubbles that are intrinsic to the Japanese manufacturing process. It is in good and sound condition with the normal wear one finds on fishing floats that have survived years of use in the ocean.  This float is a beautiful aqua green color (see photos). Every vintage float is different and this one has many beautiful unique features (see photos).
