Book takes place in early America and includes the main character being captured and raised by the Indians, Bedford Village and Fort Pitt. Story is set in Pennsylvania just before the American Revolution.

The illustration on the jacket and color frontispiece is from a painting by Andrew Wyeth.

Book is in very good-plus condition. The dustjacket shows some wear and chipping but still serves to protect the book well.
