Attention Collectors!

Rare Book

 From 1692

Here is a very scarce antiquarian hardcover book that would be a fantastic addition to a collection!
You are bidding on a super rare hardcover book! The book is in Latin. The full title from the title page is: Petri Danielis Huetii Episcopi Abrincensis Alnetanae Quaestiones De Concordia Rationis Et Fidei, Quarum Libro Primo Lex Concordiae Rationis Et Fidei, Secundo Dogmatum Christianorum Et Ethnicorum Comparatio, Tertio Praeceptorum Christianorum Et Ethnicorum Ad Vitam Pie Recteque Instituendam Pertinentium Comparatio continetur ; Iuxta Exemplar Cadomense Et Parisinum recusae.

The book is by Pierre Daniel Huet. As best I can determine, it is about Greek Orthodox Church History, Faith Questions, etc.

Pierre Daniel Huet was a 17th-century French bishop who was well-remembered for his translations and commentary on Greek theology and early Church history. This is one of his most prominent books, ‘Questiones Aletuanae’. This book asked and answered questions and arguments over faith as it relates to Christians as well as differences in theology amongst different ethnicities.

Publishing info: Lipsiæ, : apud Joh. Grosii viduam & hæredes, 1692.

That's right, this book is from 1692!!!

This is a super rare book. I conducted a search and could not find another one like it! Imagine owning a book that is 339 years old! Wow!!!

Details:

•Collation complete with all pages: 437, plus an Index

•Language: Latin

•Binding: Vellum; tight & secure

•Size: ~9in X 6.5in (23cm x 16.5cm)

The covers are firmly attached with no cracking of hinges. There is some soiling to the vellum but that is understandable for a book over 325 years old! All pages are tightly bound with some light foxing.

This is a super rare book and is in overall very good condition!

Would make a terrific addition to a collection.

Wonderful gift idea!
