The most complete general erotic bibliography yet published. It contains 5,061 entries, with references to library pressmarks, notably of the British Museum private case (which are not in the general catalogue), the Phi collection in the Bodleian, and the Enfer in Paris. Unfortunately Rose died before his bibliography went to press, and its editor, W. J. Stanislas, made a hasty collation of the manuscript.
