Serving spoon in an 1800's Olive pattern which is monogrammed:

"James Brown U.S.H"

I believe this is the monogram of James Sproat Brown who served in the United States House of Representatives from 1863-1865 representing the state of Wisconsin. I bought this at an antique store with a bunch of other flatware years ago near Milwaukee, It had "Mayor of Milwaukee estate" on a sticker on the bowl, but it was kinda beat up so I never looked into it until now It's been sitting in storage for 15 years or so.

Piece is in fair condition and is being sold as-is. The edges of the bowl have been bent in, they could be straightened if you had strong hands. Aside from this obvious flaw it just shows a little normal wear and tear. It's a little rough but an interesting civil war era artifact.

Piece has some tarnish and will need to be thoroughly polished when buyer receives it.

Take a good look at the photos as piece is being sold as is.
