Hi:

This pot is made by Bigei. The long time and famous tokoname région Potter. He’s probably the most well known Tokoname Potter in the west. His speciality is small size pots with his red clay and signature burnish. Sometimes they are nail carved (Etched) and other times just plain. He uses great shapes and styles too. And some have unique motifs to them.

His pots are very popular world wide.

He retired some time ago but has since restarted making some pots in small amounts.

The pieces I buy are older pieces that he no longer makes that model.

I’ve owned probably over 1,000 Bigei pots and I’ve never had this type before. Very unique.
