This is a listing of all the SMALL character jugs we currently have for sale at £28.95 or less. Different size Character Jugs or Small ones that are £29.95 or more are in our eBay shop - please click here.

Each jug is shown in the drop down box at the top of the listing. When you click on the drop down box you can select the Character Jug you are looking for and that will then show a picture of that jug to the left.

Different jugs come with different backstamps on their base depending on the age of the jug.
A backstamp with an "A" signifies the jug was made prior to 1956 and these are shown in our drop down list with (i)
A backstamp with multiple registration numbers signifies the jug was made prior to 1974 and these are shown in our drop down list with (ii)
Most of the jugs in the list without a (i) or (ii) were made since 1974

Some jugs also came in different Styles and Variations. We have abbreviated these so that Style One is S1, Style 2 is S2 etc and Variation One is V1, Variation Two is V2 etc

Lastly, there are numerous jugs that were issued with the wrong D number on the base. The numbers we use in the drop down box are those that the Jug was issued with. If you receive one that has a different number on the base but the height is correct then that is an example of incorrect numbering. Unfortunately this happened so often they are not any more valuable than those with the correct number.

All the jugs are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Each jug varies slightly in height with the vast majority of them being between 3.25 and 4.25 inches in height. The pictures shown are stock pictures because our stock changes regularly but if you would like to see a picture(s) of the actual jug you will be sent please ask via eBay messages.

Occasionally a jug comes with a Certificate and if it does it is shown to the LEFT of the name (in the drop down box) as "+ COA. Please note the certificates will probably have been folded and creased in past ownership - if you would like a picture of any certificate please ask for one via eBay messages.

Where a Postage and Packing cost is shown, if you buy Multiple Items that can be shipped together, we will always offer a saving on COMBINED POSTAGE if bought and paid for in one transaction. If buying multiple items please add each one to your basket and then pay for them all at once.

POSTAL OPTIONS: If you require Tracking and Insurance please choose "Special Delivery" (within the UK) or "International Signed For" (outside the UK). For more expensive items these may be the only options offered.

SHIPPING/DELIVERY: We normally post items on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday . An estimated date of delivery (calculated by eBay) is shown at the top of the listing.

IF YOU BUY MORE THAN ONE ITEM: Please ask for a combined invoice BEFORE making the payment otherwise you may pay too much postage. Multiple items over 2KG will be expensive to send to addresses outside the UK and it may be cheaper to send them in two parcels.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. We always show the correct value on customs declarations.

Terms of Sale

PAYMENT TERMS: I would appreciate payment within 3 days of you purchasing an item. If for some reason this is not going to be possible please let know BEFORE making the purchase.

PICTURES & QUESTIONS: It is said a picture is worth a thousand words. The pictures are an important part of the description therefore please check them to make sure that you are happy with the condition of the item as shown. If you would like additional pictures all you need to do is ask.
