Clown Preserve Pot & Lid - it has only ever been displayed.

Circus Range - this is a beautiful set. Before Roger Michell passed away I had an email conversation with him regarding some 'imposter' teapots that were popping up on here. In fact there are a couple active now. They are incorrectly stamped AND decorated. He felt someone had got hold of some moulds upon the closure of the Carton factory, despite overseeing the destruction of moulds. He told me that they did the Circus set in two colourways: a black and white version and then a simple coloured version of which my clown preserve pot belongs. Both versions are simply but stylishly decorated. Roger also rescued about 20 undecorated Tumbling Clown teapots from the Carlton factory upon its closure and those are all individually numbered and signed, and painted quite differently. I do own some tumbling clown tea pots should you be interested in owning one.

This is a true vintage piece.

Earthenware.

This piece measures 7 inches x 4 inches.

Perfect condition. No chips or cracks. No restoration. Some unobtrusive crazing to the lid and some small scratches. Beautifully painted.

Made by the Lustre Pottery and Carlton Ware collaboration.

We are used to sending ceramics and these will be sensibly packaged. We use only quality boxes for posting fragile items. Good boxes, high density, are not cheap. eBay takes over 20% of the P & P charge. Postage is not free despite what these companies try and lead you to believe. Thank you.

Overseas - the price is a guide as shipping charges are changing on a daily basis. We have quoted for a tracked express service. It is really expensive now. I just sent two Staffordshire figures to America and the postage alone was £60. eBay take 20% of that.
