This is a previously-owned, adult-sized, navy-blue hat with “Louisville Peterbilt Inc.” printed on the front (tag is missing, 100% cotton). It is a baseball-style cap with a curved peak, a captain’s cord along the inner bill, and a snapback adjuster in the back (to quickly fit most wearers). Of note, the hat has a little discoloration on the bill (see pictures) – it may need spot-cleaned or soaked for maximum satisfaction…
Founded in 1939, the Peterbilt Motors Company is a manufacturer of medium- and heavy-duty Class 5 through Class 8 trucks headquartered in Denton, Texas. The company created their vehicles for use in the lumber business, and, in 1939, began to sell the trucks to the public.
