This is a RARE 1967 vintage copy of Tales of Suspense #88 which features separate stories on Iron Man and Captain America in their early exploits. This issue marks the 1st Gil Kane work on Captain America. Written by Stan Lee with art by Gene Colan/Gil Kane. It's first print and the overall condition is rated Very Fine. The cover is sharp with off-white pages. It has minimal creases but no tears occurring along the cover edges. Staples are intact and fairly firm.
synopsis:
At Avengers Mansion, Captain America receives a distress call from somebody who appears to be Bucky, telling Cap that he's a prisoner on Sea Gull Isle. As Cap races to the rescue, little does he know that the owner of the high tech base there has just recruited the Swordsman and Power Man to face off against Captain America upon his arrival. Arriving there, Captain America must then face off against both costumed villains in order to save Bucky's life. Easily defeating them, Captain America next finds himself trapped in an indestructible transparent bubble. Now a helpless prisoner, the Swordsman and Powerman's employer reveals himself to Captain America.
