Wulfenite is a lead molybdate and crystallizes in the tetragonal system, often as tabular, pyramidal crystals. Color ranges from bright orange-red to yellow-orange, to brown crystals – sometimes even green or black. Those from the Red Cloud mine are known for their bright red, lustrous, shiny surfaces.
