This item is a complete set of 50 standard size Original Cigarette Cards issued by the John Player Tobacco Company in 1926 on the theme of Straight Line Caricatures. They are caricatures of famous people drawn with straight lines. Some of those depicted are as follows:- H.H.The Aga Khan, Baden Powell, Stanley Baldwin, Earl Beatty, Austen Chamberlain, Charlie Chaplin, Winston Churchill, Sir Alan Cobham, Lord Darling, Steve Donoghue, Douglas Fairbanks, Viscount Grey of Falloden, Earl Haig, Lord Hawke, Jack Hobbs, Earl Jellicoe, Rudyard Kipling, Harry Lauder, David Lloyd George, Ramsay MacDonald, Guglielmo Marconi, George Bernard Shaw and many others. Their stories are told in text printed on the backs of the cards.
