The labradorite has been shaped into a 21 X 36 mm teardrop (pear) cabochon and weighs 45.05 carats.  The labradorite has been attached to a 38 mm round laser cut balsa wood scalloped circle that has a stainless steel paddle bail.  The pendant includes a gray 18 - 20" inch adjustable waxed cotton cord, 1.5 mm's thick with a lobster claw clasp.   The full length of the pendant is 22 inches.

The labradorite was mined in Madagascar, and then sent to India for shaping and polishing.  I bought this from a seller in India and I am a United States seller.  It is common for gem material to be shipped to many places around the world before it becomes the final product.

This type of labradorite is a plagioclase feldspar.  It is 100% natural, having only been sealed on the outside to protect it.  This type of labradorite is uneven, splintery and brittle and requires a sealer when worn as jewelry.  Labradorite shows a schiller (labradorescence) in lustrous metallic tints, often blue and green.  This labradorescence is mainly caused by interference of light from lattice distortions resulting from alternating microscopic exsolution lamellae of high- and low- calcium plagioclase phases.

I have photographed the necklace in LED lighting.  The pictures have been enlarged to show detail, it is shown next to a half dollar for size reference.  The necklace includes a red gift box for safe storage between wearing.

I guarantee my jewelry 100%. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, return your item and I will gladly refund your purchase price. I do not charge a restocking fee.  You will be pleased to know what a good price you are getting.
