Soup spoon with oval bowl in the 1888 LeLouvre pattern which bears the Midland monogram of Colorado Midland Railroad. This pattern with this marking is shown on page 84 of Dominy & Morgenfruh's Silver at Your Service.
Spoon measures approx. 7 inches long.

Piece is a little rough and is being sold as is. More than likely this spoon made its way to the cook's area of the kitchen and was used for that sort of service for a while. I've worked in a number of kitchens and there was always a few of these "retired" pieces relegated to the abuse of the cooks. Tip of bowl has worn away and there is some silver loss. Back of bowl has an area of heel wear. Interior of bowl has a number of small nicks and scratches. There are a number of slight nicks and scratches. Monogram and handle are in good condition showing a lot less wear than the bowl.
Spoon will need to be polished when buyer receives it.
Piece is being sold as-is, so take a good look at the photos.
