WARRANTY: We believe our warranty sets us apart from all others in our industry. For the past 54 years we have maintained our own full time electronic service facility staffed by very skilled and experienced electronic technicians. When you purchase from us, you are guaranteed service for as long as you own the product. We not only service your in warranty needs but will service your purchase long after your original warranty has expired. Warranty duration's, terms and conditions vary as specified by the manufacturer of the individual components we install in your system. If your item develops a defect during the in warranty period we will make it right by correcting the defect, replacing or repairing the defective component as specified by the manufacture of the individual defective component, or in some cases, we may replace the entire unit. The method we use to correct a defect shall remain strictly our option. Our goal is to insure every item you purchase from us performs as designed and intended for as long as you own the product. We will always strive to make you happy whenever possible. It shall be your responsibility to return the defective product to the designated service facility we indicate when we issue you a return authorization (RA). Your manufacturer's warranty starts on the day you receive the product (not the day you say you installed it.) BUILT FACTORY FRESH UPON ORDER: We do not manufacture cookie cutter systems. Every system we sell is hand built one by one upon order. This insures the item you receive will always be factory fresh, not an old dusty unit off the shelf waiting to be shipped. Due to this built factory fresh concept there may be several days delay between the time you purchase the product and when we actually ship the product. Rest assured, the moment your payment clears, your order is immediately sent to production. Generally your housing is molded on the first day your payment clears. We always ship within the time frame indicated in the listing. In some cases by special request we are able to produce and ship your purchase much quicker. If you have a special delivery request such as a birthday or some other special occasion please call us before you purchase to confirm an earlier delivery contact THE RADIO SHOP SELMA ALA otherwise your purchase will be shipped as indicated in the listing.
PRODUCTION UPGRADES: Since we are the manufacturer, we are constantly improving and upgrading our products. We are constantly looking for ways to make our products look, fit and perform better. Therefore we reserve the right to make certain improvements, changes and upgrades to the product you purchase. Since every item we sell is hand built upon order, one by one, by one builder start to finish, certain improvements and upgrades are left to builder experience and discretion. This production upgrade policy gives you the assurance the unit you receive will always include the latest production upgrades and improvements, rather than you receiving an older unit off the shelf which may not contain the latest improvements. By purchasing any of our products you agree these production changes, upgrades, improvements and variations will never qualify for “Not as Described” since we sometimes improve or products faster than we can upgrade our listings.
CANCELLATIONS: Be aware before you purchase. We do not grab a dusty unit off the shelf and ship it. The system you receive will be built factory fresh especially for you. Since your order is immediately sent to production the moment your payment clears we do not allow free cancellations. From start to finish the product has your name on it. If you request a cancellation after your payment clears and your order has already been sent to production, you will be charged a cancellation fee. No exceptions. The cancellation fee will never be less than 10 percent plus any fees we are unable to recover. In some cases cancellations cancellation fees could be as high as 35 percent depending on how much time and materials we have already spent on your production. Of course you can avoid paying any fees simply by honoring your contractual agreement and accepting the system you caused us to build for you. Cancellation fees increase from the minimum 10 percent depending on the amount of time, labor and materials we have already expended on your unit at the time you request to cancel. If you attempt to cancel an order after your purchase has been completed, whether a shipping label has been created or not and whether your unit has been shipped or not, you will be charged 35 percent plus any eBay or Paypal fees we are unable to recover. If you refuse delivery of an item we have already shipped, you will be charged 35 percent plus any fees and shipping charges we have incurred whether or not we initially charged you shipping. These fees and charges will be deducted from any refund we agree to issue. Be aware before you click to purchase any item on eBay, you are entering into a contractual agreement. When you ask us to build an item for you and we spend our valuable time certainly we expect to get paid. If you don't intend to accept the product, do not click to purchase it. Be aware, cancellation, restocking fees and returns can be expensive.
RESTOCKING FEES: Sometimes but not always, strictly at our option, on a case by case basis, we may agree to accept a return after all other remedies have been exhausted. In any case (except in cases where we are clearly at fault) you will be charged a restocking fee. In addition to restocking fees, we will also make appropriate deductions for missing parts or soiled items such as, books, manuals, hardware, wires, connectors, remotes, packing materials, etc. and all other items originally supplied. We also may charge you the cost to refurbish and or repackage the returned item. Restocking fees shall partly be determined by the costs to repackage, refurbish, and or replace any soiled, damaged or missing items. Sometimes we may determine the value of the item you returned by it's condition when compared to a brand new unblemished item of like kind and quality. In some cases in lieu of a refund or restocking fees, we reserve the right to return the unit back to you in the condition you returned it to us and issue no refund at all, or repair and return the unit back to you at an agreed price. Bear in mind, once an item has been sold, has been unboxed, the shrink wrap has been removed, whether it has been installed or not, it cannot lawfully be sold as new again. Therefore a reduction in value shall always apply. Units which have been blemished, powered up, wires cut, holes drilled, modified, installed or partially installed will always have the greatest restocking fees if we agree to accept such a return.
REFUNDS and SHIPPING DAMAGE: Every item you purchase from us is backed by our own award winning service, manufacturers warranty and eBay buyer protection. In the unlikely event your item arrives physically damaged or you discover parts broken when you open the box, you should not worry. We have you covered. Contact us immediately. Do Not discard the box or any of the originally supplied packing materials. The shipping company will require the original box and all original packing materials in order for us to file a claim, refund your money, repair or replace the unit, whichever you and we agree. Since you should clearly be able to can see any damage through the clear shrink wrap, Do Not remove the shrink wrap. Do Not power up or install the unit. You will not be able to file a shipping damage claim after a unit has been powered up or installed. Units found to be defective after they have been installed will not qualify for a refund but be repaired or replaced under the original product warranty. If you install your unit and believe it is defective we are always here to help you personally THE RADIO SHOP Selma, Ala ask for service.
NO REFUNDS: We do not give refunds for stuff like “I changed my mind. My wife chewed me out for buying it. I maxed out my credit card and need my money back. My wife had already bought me one and I did not know it. Mine is not as loud as my friends. Summer is almost over and I no longer need it. I sold my cart. My child was fooling around with my computer and ordered it by mistake. I never got a chance to install it.” Or any other creative reason you can think of, clearly not our problem. Further, we DO NOT give refunds for items which have been installed, attempted installed, have cut or nicked wires, been modified or powered up by any external power source such as an old battery you just happen to have sitting around the shop, subjected to physical damage, miswiring, abuse, accident, fire,water, etc. Neither do we refund items which have had their warranty seals broken, been into, or components removed from the housing without our prior expressed consent. Or items with holes drilled in housing, with scratches, blemishes, dents, dings, etc. In lieu of refund we may be able to repair your item under the original manufacturer's warranty, obviously excluding those items which have been subjected to abuse, accident, fire, water, miswiring or tampering. In warranty defects will be repaired under the original manufacturers warranty as specified in the written warranty of the particular defective component. Any item returned to us requesting a refund or repair found not to be defective will be returned to you at your expense.
RETURNS: We reserve the right to refuse, accept, or refund any item which is not returned to us in the exact condition received. Items returned with soiled, torn or damaged boxes, shrink wrap removed or partially removed, missing packing materials, missing books, manuals, cards, hardware, remotes, or any other item originally supplied, or has been modified, powered up using an external power source will not be considered returned in exact condition received. At our option, on a case by case basis, we may sometimes, but not always, agree to accept a returned item and issue a full refund or at our option make appropriate deductions for any and all soiled, damaged or missing items, plus the cost to repackage and/or refurbish the returned item. If you return an item, not in the exact condition received and we cannot agree on the amount of these deductions, no refunds will be made and the item will be returned to you at your expense. Be aware, we are never obligated to accept for refund any item returned to us not in exact condition received. This does not mean we will not service and return your unit under your original warranty providing your problem is a warranty condition. If your unit is out of warranty or not under warranty we will repair it for you at an agreed price or return it to you at your expense.
FREE SHIPPING: We are often asked why we don't give free shipping on every item we sell, since so many of our competitors do. The answer is very, very simple. We believe it should be obvious to anyone seeking the best value for their hard earned money, nothing is really free. In order for a seller to give you so called “free shipping” they must do one of two things. (1) Raise the price of the item they are selling, enough to pay for the shipping in order to pull the wool over your eyes and make you believe shipping is free. (2) Cut the quality of the item, build it cheap enough to pay for the shipping.
We refuse to do either. We believe the very best policy is not try to pull the wool over your eyes. We refuse to cut the quality or artificially raise the price. We believe the price you pay for any item should reflect the quality and value of the item. We also want you to know, the price we charge you for shipping reflects our actual out of pocket expense for delivering the item to you. This not only includes the amount we pay the shipping company for the transportation, It also includes the cost of boxes, packing materials, packaging, handling and insurance. If we cut these actual cost out of your unit in order to make you believe you were getting free shipping, sometime we would have to slash the guts out of your system.
Yes sometimes we do over free shipping on special promotional items. The quality is still there but we obviously can't make a profit making every item we sell a promotional item.
