Method of Preparation 

  • JACKFRUIT MALLUM 


First, add the dried jackfruit to hot water for 15 minutes until it gets tender and drain the water out. Get turmeric, Green Chilies, Cinnamon, Garlic, Onion, Pepper, Ginger, and Salt, Blend/grind them with scraped coconut until it becomes a paste. Add this paste to jackfruit and mix well. Let it boil for a few minutes with the lid closed. 

  • JACKFRUIT CURRY 

   

First, add the dried jackfruit to hot water for 15 minutes until it gets tender and drain the water out. Then add curry powder, turmeric, mustered, Maldives fish, garlic, onion, green chilies, Cinnamon, tempering leaves, Curry leaves, red chilies and pepper mix them well and boil it with milk taken secondly from coconut, when it starts to boil add the first milk stir well. add a teaspoon of cumin powder if needed. 

  

  • JACKFRUIT FRY 

First, add the dried jackfruit to hot water for 15 minutes until it gets tender and drain the water out. Add the tendered jackfruit into a bowl and mix them with a bit of salt, red chilies, and onion. Deep fry them until it gets crispy 

  

  • JACKFRUIT SWEET 

First, add the dried jackfruit to hot water for 15 minutes until it gets tender drain the water out. Deep fry the tendered jack fruit with a bit of salt until it gets crispy, then lay them on a pan and add the caramelized sugar on top.
