Available for purchase is a beautiful 11.2 gram slice of the 2013 Chelyabinsk meteorite. It was found in the Chelyabinskaya Oblast of Russia (54°49' N, 61°07' E).

This exceptional slice of the Chelyabinsk LL5 meteorite was part of a highly observed and recorded super bolide explosion that occurred over Russia in February 2013. It has been calculated that the energy released during the explosion was 25 times that of the bomb which destroyed Hiroshima, Japan during World War II. This huge fall, said to be in the thousands of fragments, caused serious injury and massive structural damage. This slice taken off a larger specimen exhibits a black and white brecciated structure indicative of severe shock. The gray chondritic matrix contrasts sharply with the fresh black fusion crust of the meteorite's exterior, making a beautiful specimen. It weighs 11.2 grams, measures 45 x 26 x 4mm (1.77 x 1.02 x 0.16 in).
