This is an extremely RARE signed baseball as Jean Faut signed the baseball with a rare inscription “Jean Faut MVP 1951, 1953” she was unquestionably the greatest player in the history of the AAGPBL. Please read her remarkable biography below. This baseball was signed at a rare private signing. Please note that the photograph of Jean from the signing is not included in the auction.

BIO: Jean Faut AAGPBL MVP 1951, 1953. Pitched 2 Perfect Games 1951 (against the Rockford Peaches) and in 1953 (against Kalamazoo Lassies). Pitched 2 No-Hitters 1948 (against Racine Belles) and in 1949 (against Racine Belles). Consider the greatest overall pitcher in the history of the AAGPBL. She compiled a lifetime record of 140–64 with a 1.23 ERA in 235 pitching appearances, registering the lowest career ERA for any pitcher in the league. Besides hurling two perfect games (there were only six perfect games total in the AAGPBL), her league achievements include pitching two no-hitters, twice winning the Triple Crown and collecting three 20-win seasons. She also led in wins and strikeouts three times, set the league record for single-season winning percentage at .909 (20–2), and led the South Bend Blue Sox to consecutive championships in 1951 and 1952. Four-time All-Star Team (1949-'51, 1953). All-time leader in earned run average. Three-time, single-season leader in wins (1949, 1952-'53) and strikeouts (1951-'53), Three-time, 20-win seasons (1949-'50, 1952).
