UNTITLED [ ABSTRACT LANDSCAPE ], 1982 SIGNED ORIGINAL MIXED MEDIA PAINTING BY AMERICAN ARTIST JACK PORTLAND (b.1946)               

This abstract landscape painting is by the Oregon artist Jack Portland. Jack Portland is known for his abstracted still-life, figurative, and landscape paintings in a variety of media. This mixed media painting on heavy art paper is a fine example of the artist’s work. Painted to the edges the painting measures 12 1/4 x 9 inches in size. The painting is signed and dated by the artist in pencil on the verso: Portland 82. The painting comes unframed.                

CONDITION: The painting is in excellent original condition. 

Jack Portland was born San Luis Obispo, California in 1946. He studied at the University of California at Santa Barbara and graduated from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in 1971. He has become well known in the Northwest, both as an artist and teacher. His work combines elements of surrealism, patterns, and expressionism, exploring images ranging from landscape to still life with an abstract vocabulary. His work has been included in exhibitions at the National Gallery in Washington, D.C.; the Brooklyn Museum, New York; the Seattle Art Museum and the Tacoma Art Museums, Washington; and the Portland Art Museum, Oregon.

3. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE GLASS FROM FRAMED ARTWORK TO PREVENT ARTWORK FROM GETTING DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING. HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE, WITH SMALLER FRAMED ARTWORK I WILL PLACE TAPE ALL OVER THE GLASS FOR PROTECTION.
4. BUYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING, HANDLING, INSURANCE, AND INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS FEES!   

Shipping prices quoted include packaging in corrugated box with bubble wrap and/or peanuts. For larger or expensive works of art a crate may be ordered. Insurance is required on all art shipments. Buyers pay for insured shipping. I do not ship my items for free. I prefer shipping items via USPS PRIORITY MAIL but with larger items I will ship via UPS. 

I will try my best to keep the shipping costs to a minimum, however, please be aware that I am concerned with using the correct materials for proper packaging of the artwork so that it will arrive safe & sound.
