This Unit does not require External Power Adapter if you are going to connect 2.5" IDE Hard Disk drive, but for any other devices such as 3.5" IDE, SATA Hard Disk Drive or CD-RW, DVD-RW, CD Rom, DVD Rom it will require external Power Adapter. External power adapter is not included in the package.

Important Note:

Please set jumper wire to the MASTER mode of your hard disk.

You are required to connect the external power for 3.5” IDE & SATA HDD. And please always remember to remove the external power adapter and disconnect it from the connection if you do not use the hard disk.
