This terrific 20 1/4" x 17 1/2" encaustic on Masonite creation bears inscriptions on the back NY 167 with exhibition/inventory numbers and depicts 5 figures, some in silver hardhats aboard a piece of heavy machinery (bulldozer) behind a stack of GIANT toy alphabet blocks.  The work is heavily layered and richly textured with the artist having added numerous nicks, pocks and scratches in the material before it hardened.  Additionally there are numerous trailed/dripping squiggles in the bottom third that may hide a signature?  It is colorful with nice depth and fascinating technique and shows expected surface grime for its age.  The surface is stable and there are minor chips/losses at the corners.  Its perimeter is wrappd in masking tape (original) presumably to prevent its sticking in a frame before the materials had fully cured.
